Organisation
Set -up :
1. Director: He is the Executive head of the Sikkim Vigilance Police. Vide order no.
409/G/DOP dated 11/06/2002 the Director has also been designated as
Ex-officio Commissioner, Vigilance.
2. SP Vigilance: He is the
head of office and is of
the rank of Superintendent of Police or Sr. S.P. He is the second in
command.
3. Branches & Officers In-charge:

The
Vigilance Department consist of the
Confidential Branch, Reader Branch, General Administrative Branch,
Accounts Branch, Hqrs.
& Central Investigating Branch,
Intelligence Branch, Legal
& Technical Branch, Vigilance Police Station Branch and the
Pamphlet Cell Branch.
These branches shall remain in-charge of such officers as decided by the
Director and may be re-organised as and when necessary. |

4. Officer In-charge, Sikkim
Vigilance Police Station: He is an officer of the rank of Dy. S.P. and
is appointed by the Director from amongst the Dy. S.Ps posted in the
Vigilance.
5. Other Executive &
Ministerial Staff: The number of Dy.SPs/lnspectors/Sub-lnspectors/ASls and
other subordinate Executive Staff and rules governing their Recruitment,
Promotion & Seniority & other conditions of service, are as specified
under the Sikkim Vigilance Police (Appointment, Seniority & Promotion)
Rules, 2001 as amended from time to time.
The number of Ministerial
Staff and rules governing their recruitment, seniority & promotion are
laid down by the Deptt. of Personnel, AR & Training & the
Finance Department.
6.
Pay & Allowances:
Pay & allowances to the, Executive Staff are as admissible to the
corresponding ranks, including followers, in the Sikkim Police. Pay &
allowances of the Ministerial Staff are as admissible to the
corresponding posts in the State Government.
